How to find the right company for you
Once you get to the process of knowing what you want in an office phone system it’s time to find somebody to work alongside with to purchase the system and peripherals from, install the system and service the system. Here are a few tips that should help you in this process:
1. Seek out companies that carry your needs
This is the first action you should take when trying to figure out which company you’ll be working alongside. At this point in the process, you should have an understanding of what type of office phone system you want (analog vs. digital vs. VoIP), as well as what brands you prefer. If you’ve already spent time in researching what office phone system you’d prefer you’ll need to find a company that suits your wants and needs. 2. Research these companies online for reviews
Once you’ve made a list of companies that carry the specific phone systems you’re interested in you’ll have to spend time researching each of these companies to see if they have good reviews. Some places you’ll want to look are on their website (most reputable companies will have a testimonials/reviews page), or on their Google+ pages where anyone is able to leave a review of their experiences with a company.
3. Contact other business contacts to learn their recommendations
Some of the best information you can get about other companies can come from other business contacts in the same area. You can be assured that these contacts will be honest about their experience with different telecommunications companies, and therefore, can be some of the most valuable information you’ll find. Ask them about their experiences with installation, servicing, cost, and availability.
4. Contact the companies themselves
This is the last step in this process as you should have the companies you’re considering working with narrowed down to 2-3 by this point. Contact each company you’re interested in working with and ask them questions regarding your wants and needs. This is also the time when you’ll get to know the people that work with each company. It’s important to have a good working relationship with you telecommunications company as they’ll be the ones helping to service your phone. If you feel that some companies may be difficult to work alongside with then they may not be the right option for you. If you would like to contact us to discuss your wants and needs click here now.
Can you choose separate companies to work with?
Some people do choose to work with separate telecommunications companies in their process of purchasing, installing and servicing an office phone system. There are both pro’s and con’s to choosing this route. On the plus side, you’ll be able to choose the best aspects of each company. For example, one company may carry the phone system that you’d prefer, but from your research, you have come to learn that their installation services are quite poor. If you choose to work with separate companies you’ll still be able to purchase the phone system from that company, but will have to approach other companies to do your installation and servicing. The biggest flaw to choosing this route is that it can become difficult to build a strong working relationship with any of these companies. Installers and service people may also not know your phone system as well if it’s a product that the company they don’t work for doesn’t carry, which can leave room for more errors in installation or servicing. Our suggestion would be to do your best to work alongside a one stop telecommunications company that is able to provide you with a product, installation, and services along the way. This way you’re guaranteed a smooth and efficient experience.
