Many are surprised to find that paging systems are still in use in today’s communication-saturated environment. In fact, their continued existence seems odd considering the explosion of telecommunication devices that we have experienced over the past few years. Yet paging systems are still a useful and important tool for a select group of people and situations. Below we provide a definition of paging systems, discuss why and where they are still used, mention the paging systems that Network Telecom provides and repairs, and suggest two key advantages they have over cellphones. What are Paging Systems ?
Paging systems are a form of public address, or loudspeaker, system. They are typically used to make announcements and notify staff, customers, and clients, or to summon people to a specific location. They are especially useful in large buildings, where they can be used to provide zonal, or area, coverage. Specifically, paging systems consist of speakers and an amplifier that permits paging from telephone and/or microphones towards a large group of people. Music input can also be accessed through an RCA jack or screw terminals. Most systems require an amplifier installed on site and either phones with speakers or loudspeakers.
“I was very happy with the cutover day, everything got done faster than I expected, and very accurately. Post cutover, Matt has been a great resource, helping make a few tweaks and adjustments here and there and I anticipate I will be bouncing things off of him for a while yet, and his replies are greatly appreciated.”

Why & Where Paging Systems Are Still Used
Paging systems are still an appropriate telecommunication device for a number of workers in specific fields. These include schools, hospitals, colleges, large grocery and department stores, car dealerships, auditoriums, and large warehouses, factories, and other industrial locations. There are some perfectly good reasons for this apparently unusual phenomenon in the age of the smartphone. Paging systems reach a large number of people very quickly and are very good at what they do. They are especially useful during emergencies such as school lockdowns, building fires, and for providing evacuation instructions.
