“I was very happy with the cut-over day, everything got done faster than I expected, and very accurately. Post cutover, Matt has been a great resource, helping make a few tweaks and adjustments here and there and I anticipate I will be bouncing things off of him for a while yet, and his replies are greatly appreciated.”

Is Rogers Internet Down? What To Do
There may be times when your Internet is down. This could be due to a number of reasons including:
- Failed Link to Your Internet Provider: This could happen because of a power outage or an animal damaging wires
- Congestion: If too many people are trying to access the same network at the same time
- Faulty Equipment: Sometimes equipment failures will cause an outage
- Human Error: An ISP staff member can make a mistake which causes a failure
The following are a few quick and simple steps that you can try to get your Internet up and running again without calling a Technician.
Rogers internet down: It is a relatively easy process to restart your router
1. Restart Your Devices And Router
Many times the best and easiest solution to try to fix your Internet issue is simply to turn everything off and start it up again. At times wireless technology simply gets a bit mixed up. Turning it off and starting it up fresh can often clear up the confusion and get you up and running again. To shut down and power up again do the following:
- Step 1: Completely power down (unplug) all of your devices which use the Internet – phones, tablets, computers, printers, etc.
- Step 2: Unplug your router and modem and wait for 20 seconds.
- Step 3: Plug your router and modem back in and wait until they power up and reset. This could take up to 10 minutes for the modem to completely set up.
- Step 4: Turn all of your devices connected to the Internet back on.
It may be hard to believe, but the majority of WIFI problems can be solved by following the above simple steps. The following video will also go through the steps of restarting your router.
2. Relocate Your Router
Even though wireless signals are very powerful, they still can be blocked by thick walls, floors, and even certain kinds of doors. If possible, try locating your router in a central place, as close as possible to the devices that require WIFI service the most. The closer your device is to the router, the stronger and more uninterrupted the signal you should receive.

What To Do If Your Internet Speed Seems To Have Slowed Down
The following are steps to try to troubleshoot your internet speed issues.
1. Test Your Internet Speeds
Test out your Internet speeds on different websites. Your speeds may be different depending on the websites that you are connecting to. Some sites are simply faster than others. You can check your Internet speeds using Rogers SpeedCheck tool as follows:
- Step 1: Click here to go to Rogers SpeedCheck tool.
- Step 2: Click Begin Test
- Step 3: Wait while the test is performed – about 2 minutes
- Step 4: Your download and upload speeds will be displayed on the screen.
The results will tell you whether your Rogers speed is normal or if it is slower than usual. If it is normal then maybe it is the sites that you are connecting to that are slower.
2. Restart Your Computer
Powering down and restarting your computer may be all that is necessary to restore your normal internet speed.
3. Restart Your Modem and Router
Unplug your modem (and router if you have one) and wait twenty seconds before plugging it back in. Wait until the modem fully starts up; this could take up to ten minutes.
4. Check Your Cables
Check all of the cables attached to your devices, making sure that each one is tightly connected.
5. Move Closer To Your Modem/Router
If you are using WIFI, try moving your computer closer to the modem/router. Or if it is easier, move your modem/router closer to your devices.
